Are the images screwing up your load times? Are you waiting forever for the page to download? I'm not compressing the images much, but let me know if it's a problem and I'll do what I can. What's the haps, peeps? I'm doing my little bit to help Pamie spread that phrase, at least in my journal. Addendum: So after I put all these links to Pamie's journal in today's entry, I figured I should see what she wrote about today. And her cat died. I cried reading her entry and I'm still sad, and I hugged my cats and told them I love them. Pamie, I'm so sorry to hear about Lillith, and I hope you and Eric are OK. My stomach hurts. So I talked to my mom yesterday on the phone and she told me she gave my URL to my uncle and my cousin (i.e. her brother and his son). Plus, I got an e-mail from my aunt yesterday about my cousins entry. So now I feel kind of weird, thinking that they might be reading this. I mean, it's not like I talk about anything scandalous or secret. It's just kind of a clash of the worlds, you know? Like when your friends from high school met your friends at college. You always felt the need to make excuses on both sides, when the best thing to do was just sit back and let things happen. Anyway, I figured the best way to deal with it was to be honest - so if you're reading this, and you're related to me, e-mail me, would ya? Let me know what you think.
I guess what it boils down to is that I'm really nosy, and I love to get all in other people's business, and I can't imagine why other people don't feel the same way. Maybe they're just trying to respect my privacy. But if I wanted privacy, would this be online? No. Maybe I just have a really boring life! Ha! I think that's it! I tried to make a little movie about my cats today. Yes, I realize I need to get a life. Anyway, they were chasing one another around the house, and I thought it would be cool to get it on camera and then make a little movie (my webcam came with software that helps with this) and then post it here or send it to Jim at work or something. Wouldn't you know, as soon as I got the software open, they both settled down. So I made a movie of Mia cleaning her paws. Yes, it was as fascinating as it sounds. 3 MB of nothing.

Warning: clicking on these links will launch a new browser window. I think this person is missing the boat in terms of "women's content" on the web. You can't look at the traditional print outlets. Look at places like bust, hissyfit or tomato nation. Or squishy. Or Gwen's Trailer Trash Page. There's lots of good women's content. I bet not all of it is written by women. I would like to read more of Maura's writing, but is it me or is her site kind of illegible? It makes my head hurt to read it. If you feel this way about my site, I would really like to know. The internet gets smaller all the time. I used to kinda know this person from the alt.tv.homicide newsgroup, and now I find out that she ahs a weblog all about TV! When Reagan dies, will you be sad? Will you buy the commemorative issue of People? Fast Company, a magazine I really used to enjoy, is kind of sucking lately. Their website isn't that great either. Janeane Garofalo is starring in a movie with Ginger Lynn, the porn star? This I have got to see. These people had a free wedding because they accepted sponsorships. I would totally do that. Am I a sellout? NBC preps a Y2K tv movie. Because that's responsible. |
