Those of you who read my journal, but don't know me, are probably confused about some of the people I refer to often, so I created this cast list to help you out.

Jim has been my boyfriend for over seven years now, and is the love of my life. We have lived together for over five years and are the proud owners of three cats, Grendel, Mia, and Roxanne.

Mary is my partner in crime - we both have a weakness for cheesy teen movies and TV shows, and gossip. She is also Terry's wife, which is how I met her. Mary is a frequent poster to the comments sectionof my weblog.

Terry was one of my best friends in college. I still meet people who knew me in college and they say, "Oh, did you and Terry break up?". I like to think that we prove the old "Men and women can't be friends" theory wrong. Terry is in a band called supergush, [website designed by me!] and his day job is special education teacher.

Molly is my best friend, and has been for over 20 years. We grew up together and no one knows me better than her. It is great that we finally live in the same area code once again, because we talk on the phone about 4 times a night. The two of us crack ourselves up, and we both think the other is the funniest person in the world. Not a bad quality to have in a best friend.

Stimp is also a friend from college, and the lead singer of supergush. His real name is Chris, but some people say he looks like Stimpy from "Ren and Stimpy", thus the nickname. When people refer to him as Chris, I have no idea who they are talking about.

Brenda is another friend from high school who recently got married, bought a house, and now she's expecting a baby in the fall of 2001. We've been friends since before kindergarten. She has a big family, and it seems like everyone in town knows them. Besides being incredibly funny, and one of the best sources for hometown gossip, she is an incredibly caring person. And she just became a nurse practitioner, which I really admire.

Gretchen is literally my oldest friend. Her father and my father were good friends growing up, her brother and my brother are best friends and she lived across the street from me. We spent all our time together in the summer, but she's two years younger than me so during the school year we tended to go our separate ways. She moved to Atlanta, and married Bob in October, 1999. I miss her.

Someone who is both boss and friend is Tara, also known as Wing Chun. She and her husband Dave (a.k.a. Glark) run a bunch of websites, including Hissyfit, Fametracker and Mighty Big TV. We frequently ICQ late at night, or talk for hours on the phone and I've really enjoyed getting to know her over the past year. Plus, she hired me to write for her site, which rocks!

Family

Mom and Dad are, obviously, my mother and father. They still live in Caledonia. My dad is a retired teacher and my mom also works in a school.

Mike is my brother, who teaches at my alma mater, in 7th grade history. Erin is his lovely wife and Bailey is their black Lab.

Joe and Lucy are Jim's parents. They live about 10 minutes away from us, and they are both retired.

Tom is Jim's brother. He enjoys fishing and playing cards. He's married to Helen, who is an all around great person. We spend a lot of time with them.

Jim also has 3 sisters, (Mary, Caroline, and Patti) but none of them live in the area, so unfortunately we don't see them much. All three of them have kids of their own, so when the whole family gathers, it's quite noisy.
