Yeah, it's still hot. We are contemplating purchasing an air conditioner for the bedroom. It seems so silly, when we would only use it 2 months out of the year. Then I think about August. Then I think about how great it was when we lived in an apartment complex with central air. Then I think about how great it would be to sleep without sweating. So maybe once I start getting paid for my internship, we will. I'll tell myself it's for the poor cats, who lie on the floor under the loveseat, sprawled out to take up as much space as possible. If I'm hot in my body, imagine how they must feel covered in fur.

I sent in three rolls of film to Mystic Photo Lab, and I paid extra to get them developed to a disk, so I can post them here. I'm not sure how long it takes to get them back, though. But hopefully in the next few weeks, I can add some more pictures. I have gotten e-mails from people wanting to know what the people in my cast list look like. A lot of them are in the images section, and there are more pictures of Terry and Stimp on the supergush website.

I did a minor (I thought) redesign of the site when I moved to my own domain name. I changed it so that the URL for my journal is http://www.fresh-hell.com/journal instead of http://home.twcny.rr.com/kimandjim/journal/journal.htm. I thought it would be easier to remember or tell people about. Unfortunately, I don't think I got all the links changed. So if you come across something goofy, or a broken link, please let me know. I won't mind - I would really appreciate it!

I just realized my 5 year college reunion is THIS FRIDAY!! Yikes! I wasn't going to go, because I see most of the people from college that I want to, but my college roommate is coming down with her husband. I haven't seen her since her wedding (3 years ago!) so I am going with her to our class party on Friday night. Then we're just going to hang out the rest of the weekend. She's pregnant, so drinking is out of the question (which is fine with me, actually) but I'm sure we will still have fun.

The problem is that there were a bunch of things I meant to do before this reunion. Lose 40 pounds, grow a few inches, get plastic surgery, finish school, get a job making millions of dollars per year, get married, maybe have a kid or two, you know, those kinds of things. But then I read Sarah's tips for a successful college reunion, and now I'm feeling much better. I'm practicing saying "Whatever" as much as possible. It will all be good practice for the high school reunion type thing I have in a few weeks. That's not as scary, really, because most of those people have seen me more recently and won't be expecting the same person I was in high school. Most of the people from college haven't seen me since college. Unfortunately, I lost a lot of weight before my senior year so that is how they remember me. Even more unfortunately, I have since gained all the weight back, and then some. But I don't care what they think, right? Right???

Actually, I don't think most of the people there will remember me. I wasn't exactly Miss Popular in college. And Pam (my roommate) will probably get most of the attention, being pregnant and all. So maybe Jim and I can just make fun of people's outfits. Mean-spirited, I know, but whatever gets you through the day. I am hoping to see some of the girls I lived with senior year, who I have completely lost touch with. They were a great group of friends, and I miss hearing from them. So that is my one goal - to get back in touch with at least one of them. If I can do that, I will consider it a successful evening.

I've become fascinated with Search Engine Spies. Some of you saw the results of that yesterday, when I accidentally left in a pop-up search engine spy. It has since been removed (thanks to Kymm for expressing her dismay!)

This one offers you the choice of filtered (no bad words) vs. unfiltered (a lot more revealing).

Here is another one, from Magellan.

This site has a list of both of the above, plus some other ones. Enjoy!

You know how some songs evoke really powerful memories for you? This site collects them. Nice design, too.

The consolidation continues: AOL acquires Spinner.com and Winamp. I would be nervous, but AOL has been pretty cool about ICQ - it's still free.

Lenny Kravitz collapsed from "heat exhaustion" during a concert. You know, normally I'd think this was drug related. But it is pretty hot out.

The missing Buffy season finale is widely available for download on the internet. I've seen it. Have you? It just goes to show you, where there's a will, there's a way.
