Hey, I got a forum. Come on over and add your two cents on any of the questions. Or add your own new question. All the cool kids are doing it! Also, a new Real World summary is up. Beat the rush, read it now. Before I start the actual entry, I have to give Jim some props - he did all the laundry last night! See, we split up the household chores, and since he works 40 hours a week and I don't, I get a lot of them, including laundry. I started laundry last night, but due to the events mentioned in the next paragraph, fell asleep before I finished it. When I woke up today, all the laundry was done AND folded! Jim is the best!! I was feeling like crap earlier today. I haven't been sleeping much this week - on average about 3 hours per night. I think it all caught up with me, and last night I went to bed at 8 p.m. and got up this morning at 11! And then I had a really bad headache, probably caused by low blood sugar and dehydration from having nothing to eat or drink for 15 hours. Finally, about half an hour ago (6:00 p.m.) I started to feel normal again. So that's why no entry earlier - but for those of you who read from work - two entries tomorrow! Just my little Friday present for you. My favorite Friends episode ever is on - the one where Rachel and Monica play a game show against Joey and Chandler and end up losing their apartment. Everything about this episode is hilarious - Ross as the game show host, Joey's favorite food being sandwiches, Monica screaming at Rachel, "That's not even a word!". Love it, love it, love it. And all you holier-than-thou people who say, "I don't watch Friends" - you don't know what you're missing, baby. It's damn funny. When I worked at Borders HQ, there was this whole snobby attitude, like because you are well read, you can't also watch television. There were people who didn't even own a television, or if they did, they kept it in the closet and only brought it out on Sundays to watch "This Week With David Brinkley" or a documentary on PBS. I don't think reading and being well informed, and watching television are necessarily mutually exclusive. Yeah, I watch crap TV. Sometimes I even enjoy crap TV. Sure, I get caught up in Saved By the Bell, especially if it's the special Hawaii episode. But I can also discuss literature and current events. I consider it being well-rounded. That's what I tell myself anyway. Whew - it's getting hot here again. I think it was in the 90's today. I don't know if I ever mentioned in here but Jim and I did end up with an air conditioner - his brother's old one. But we took it out of the window last week because it was so cool outside, it was actually better to have a fan than an air conditioner. Except now it's hot again, and Jim's not home, and I can't put an air conditioner in by myself. It's times like these that I wish we had more than one window in our bedroom, so that we could have both the fan and the AC in all the time! So this weekend is the big high school alumni day. Wish me luck! |

Hey, if any of those "free webspace" companies want more customers, I have a suggestion. Get rid of the damn pop-ups, and offer better tech support. Some interesting ideas about making PCs cheaper at PC Expo. The Onion is becoming a radio show. Is there nothing those Wisconsinites can't do? There's a whole debate about charging sales tax when you buy via the Internet or mail order. Learn about it, because it will affect you!
